TAL publishes experimental Linux VST2 versions of its popular plugins including TAL BassLine 101, U-NO-LX, Sampler & more.
Software is probably the second biggest topic in music tech after hardware. The big soft topic is, of course, the market of plugins and apps. It is almost normal for us media publishers that they work with Windows and/or Mac. However, we should not forget the Linux market of music production and sound creation tools. Why am I writing this? Simple!
VocalSynth 2 by Izotope ($199) This is one of the most powerful commercial vocoder plugins out. Another TAL plugin? TAL make some of the best value plugins on the market and the features that come with the U-No-LX prove their value in the software synth industry. TAL (Togu Audio Line) has today released “experimental” Linux VST plugin releases of its plugins including TAL-101 BassLine-101, TAL-U-NO-LX and more. In my opinion, that’s great, especially because TAL plugins have an excellent price-performance factor. Thus, they greatly enrich the market for Linux VST plugins.
A vintage style delay effect VST plugin The TAL-Dub plugin was designed to be a vintage style delay effect. It can be used for a wide range of delay effects from clean to extreme distorted.
Even better, the free plugins TAL-Reverb-4 and TAL-Chorus-LX are also available as Linux plugins. But be careful, these are alpha/beta versions which includes bugs and errors. The following instrument & effect plugins are now available in native Linux VST2.4 x64 format:

TAL-DUB-III is an easy to use delay plugin with some special features for PC and MAC users. It’s no tape delay emulation and has its own sound. It has an alias free saturation stage, a non-linear 6dB low pass and a 3dB high pass filter that are included in the feedback path of the device. An input drive knob allows to adjust the saturation level. Pop-up menues show the current values of volume, delay-time and feedback knobs. A tab button allowing to adjust the delay time for live sessions.
